JWAC DISCUSSIONS
The Global Young Leaders program prepares the next
generation to compete in the global economy. Through
diplomatic leadership and civic engagement programs,
AI’s Influence on Politics
Hosted by Parish Episcopal School
students develop global competence skills to solve
complex problems, create opportunities, and advance
human dignity. They transform from observers into
informed international participants.
Literacy, Tool of Democracy
Hosted by Barack Obama Male Leadership
Academy
The Global Classroom workshop impacts educators by
adding a global component to their curriculum through
discussions, speaker sessions, and activities.
Nigeria: The Giant of Africa
Hosted by Lake Highlands High School
The Council also hosted Academic WorldQuest, a
nationwide competition held by World Affairs Councils
across the United States. The Council brought together
more than 85 teams of four students from 31 DFW high
Ocean Sustainability
Hosted by Trinity High School
schools— representing public, private, charter, and
homeschools—for this rigorous spring academic
competition. The winning team in DFW went on to place
third at Nationals.
